If you’re new to wearing makeup or not sure how to put a simple foundation look together then this is for you! It doesn’t get any simpler than this video!
There are different foundations as far as texture; creams, powders, liquids and even airbrush and while they are all fine, certain ones can work better for you depending on skin type, age and even the type of coverage you’re looking for.
Being older I tend to stay away from powders since my skin is dehydrated and powders would enhance skin texture or worse settle into fine lines! Although, when my skin is looking good and plump (mostly in the summer) I will occasionally use the MAC powder foundation and set it with a setting spray (to remove the powdery look) and that works well!
I LOVE airbrush makeup! It gives such a flawless look and will probably do a vid on my Luminess Airbrush Makeup sometime soon.
Talking about the different types of foundation is a whole other subject on its own and I can probably do something on that topic as well but this video is just to show you that a basic, simple routine need not be intimidating.
Just some general tips: if you have oily skin opt for powder but if you do want liquid there are some great options out there. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless, SuperStay Full Coverage Foundation and NYX has a few as well.
You can use a matte primer, apply loose powder to those oily areas like t-zone and set with a matte finishing spray if you like.
Older, mature or dehydrated/dry skin should stay away from powder as that will emphasize skin texture and fine lines. I prefer liquid foundation and one of my favorite drugstore is from Milani. on the higher end I love the Giorgio Armani and Nars.
Hope you enjoy the video! As always love to hear from you!
