REVIEW: Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening System +Giveaway!

Recently I was asked to review the Smile Brilliant teeth whitening system. One of the great perks of being a blogger is that you get to work with brands and try things out. I don’t always accept to work with a particular brand, but when there is one that piques my interest I definitely probe further.

So when Smile Brilliant reached out with the opportunity to review their teeth whitening system I was all over it. I mean, teeth whitening? Hello? Who doesn’t want whiter teeth right? Other than being offered free teeth aligners, what could possibly be better than this?

As we grow older, one of the telltale signs of aging is yellowing teeth so I find it extremely important to maintain my teeth with a great cleaning routine, regular visits to the dentist and of course making sure they’re their whitest! Regular visits to the pediatric dentistry practice when you’re a child as well can help keep tooth health in top form, but if you’re reading this and don’t have a child then this advice has probably come a little too late.

I didn’t think that mine could get much whiter so I was curious to see what Smile Brilliant could do for me and the big question was: was it better than getting them professionally whitened. Of course, I had nothing to lose but for those who are purchasing it I wanted to make sure that you got as much information as possible. Compared to getting them professional whitened, this is really only a fraction of the price and definitely worth a visit to their website at the very least. So….my thoughts in one word? Amazing! The whole experience was nothing short of incredibly satisfactory. From dealing with the company right down to the actual results. It is great for both men and women. Sorry Julianne my darling cutie patootie…not for you just yet! 😉

Because you are purchasing a ‘system’ Smile Brilliant makes it easy and they are there every step of the way to make sure that you are happy with your purchase. Why do I say that? Well for one, once you purchase the system, that’s it. They do the rest. The process begins with receiving your box with everything you need inside. You prepare your impressions (easy peasy with step-by-step instructions), send them in, and literally a few days later you get your molds back from their lab ready for use. Of course, it all depends on the state of your teeth going in. If you have particularly bad teeth, you may need something like dentist implants to achieve the perfect smile.

This is the complete kit (which may vary depending on which kit you purchase):

• paste (to make your molds)
• trays
• whitening gel
• desensitizing gel
• return envelope and address card (to return your impressions to the lab which will be used to make your molds and returned back to you).

The process is extremely simple as you can see below. If I can do it so can you!

1. Simply mix the catalyst and the base pastes together to form a putty.
2. Fit them into the tray and simply bite into them to make the impressions.
3. Fill out the card and return in the pre-addressed envelope.

The trays, information card and envelope have a unique ID and barcode that is attributed to you so there is no margin of error or the danger of receiving someone else’s molds. Extremely efficient.

Here are the molds received in a nifty little protective case. They should be a perfect fit and mine definitely were.

Once you receive your molds you simply follow the step-by-step instructions for whitening by using the whitening gel.

When the whitening step is completed it is then followed by the desensitizing gel step. That last one is important as it helps to block pores and nourish your teeth and reduces restaining as you eat and drink.

Smile Brilliant recommends you whiten your teeth before bedtime. I agree with that as you are not tempted to eat or snack following your whitening session, otherwise you have to wait a minimum of 30 minutes before eating.

As for my own personal results….voilà! It may be a small difference but it goes to show that there was room for improvement!
