Thank you so much for stopping by and reading this post! It is truly a special post for me because it marks the end of an intense journey that culminated in seeing my hard work come to fruition.

I won’t bore you with all the teary, emotional feelings that I experienced along the way so I will get right into the details!

As most of you know, I decided that I was going to write a book. It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for over awhile now. Given my recent diagnosis with celiac disease, I decided that I really wanted to share my story, however, it wasn’t just my story and journey that I wanted to share with you.

Here is a glimpse of the front and back cover.

Going Against The Grain - Italian Style!

Celiac Guide Book

Celiac is an autoimmune disease in which the small intestine is damaged by gluten (a protein found in wheat, barley and rye) which results in the inability for the body to absorb essential nutrients such as: protein, fat, carbs, vitamins, and minerals; all extremely necessary for good health.

This was a huge change in lifestyle for me, as I had to now find a way to remove all gluten from my diet but was faced with the difficult challenge of still wanting to eat the foods that I love; namely pasta, pizza and desserts! It took a while but, as a family, we rose to the challenge and were committed to making this work. I love food way too much to give up that easy and go the ‘boring’ route!

Having said that, the timing couldn’t have been better for my desire to write a book! One might say that the topic fell into my lap 😉

I am proud to announce that I have finally completed the book that I have spent a good portion of the year writing!

Not only is it completed but I am also ecstatic to let you know that it is available for purchase on Amazon!

Here are some very important details:

Title: Going Against the Grain – Italian Style! A Gluten-Free Life Guide and Recipe Book for Staying Healthy and Eating Amazingly!

Book is 8 x 10 – 188 pages. Features easy-to-follow Italian (and Sicilian) recipes with full-color pictures throughout.

The book will be available on Kindle at some point in the future but I don’t have a date as of yet. I will keep you posted.

I am happy to say that I will be doing a book signing which will take place in January at Indigo in Laval. Really hope you can make it! Would love to see all of you!

**Very Important** The only way to get a copy is through Amazon. I do not carry inventory and do not have copies that can be purchased directly from me. If you are interested in purchasing a copy, please click on this link:

I encourage you to bring your copy with you at the book signing in January. It will be my pleasure to personalize your copy and take pictures!

I would also encourage, if purchasing, to write an honest review of the book on Amazon. This would be greatly appreciated, as I would love to hear your feedback! Who knows? It might just prompt a second book 😉

I want to thank you all SO much for supporting me in my efforts and for being true friends! Your Facebook encouragement, responses to surveys have helped me tremendously so I dedicate this book to all of you!

Thanks!

If you have any questions PLEASE email me! I answer all my emails!

Your friend,
Nuccia
